Lippstadt, 7 July 2021. The lighting and electronics expert HELLA has once again been named Supplier of the Year by the North American car manufacturer General Motors (GM). This means that HELLA is among the award winners for the third time in a row. This year, the company also received awards in two categories: Autonomous/Active Safety Technologies, and Lighting & Bulbs. A total of 122 GM suppliers from 16 countries were honored for exceeding customer requirements, demonstrating exceptional innovation and delivering products of the highest quality in the past calendar year.

"Throughout a challenging year, our suppliers have showed resilience and dedication in working toward our shared goal of long-term sustainability for our planet and the communities we serve, while meeting our present needs. We are pleased with what we’ve accomplished together in the past year and we are excited by the opportunity that lies ahead."
HELLA and GM have been working together very successfully for over thirty years. The 2020 Supplier of the Year winners were selected by a global team of GM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics leaders. Winners were chosen based on performance criteria in Product Purchasing, Global Purchasing and Manufacturing Services, Customer Care and Aftersales, and Logistics.
